With less than 1 week to go until our Wedding Planning Party at The Barns Hotel, Bedford we want to share our top tips about how to get the most out of your evening.
1. Do your research
Before you arrive it’s great to find out a bit about the wedding suppliers who will be there on the evening. Check out our Facebook event for a list of all of the suppliers who you will see in action on the evening. Have a look at their social media pages, and note down any that you want to try and speak at the event.
2. Tour the venue
Still not found your perfect venue? The team from The Barns Hotel will be available throughout the evening to give you a tour around the venue and to answer any questions you may have. It is not often that you can see the venue in action, so take the opportunity.
3. Bring your diary
If there is a supplier during the evening that you love then why not chat with them and arrange to meet them more formally on another date. They will be able to arrange a consultation with you to find out more about your wedding day and budget and to show you what they can provide.
4. Ask questions
During the evening there will be a chance to ask your wedding planning questions to our panel of experts. You can ask anything – from whether you need wedding insurance, to how far in advance you should buy your dress. This will be a great opportunity to find out everything you need to know about planning your wedding!
5. Chat with the suppliers
During the evening the wedding suppliers will be there showcasing what they do. They are all lovely people so feel free to chat to them about your wedding, ask them any questions you may have or even ask their advice. They are all lovely people and they will be more than happy to help you out.
6. Book a beauty appointment
Make sure you take advantage of our complimentary beauty appointments. Book to see our hair stylist, makeup artists or skin care specialist for a free appointment. Why not take along some ideas about what you would like to see? It can be hard to find the right person for your wedding hair and makeup – this gives you a chance to spend some time with someone to see if they might be the right fit for you, whilst also being made to feel beautiful. Appointments will be available to book on arrival, so ensure you arrive early to guarantee a space.
7. Take photos
There will be lots of ideas on display for you, so bring your phone and snap some pictures of anything that you think might work well for your wedding day. Make sure you make a note of who created it – so that you can contact them after the event.
8. Relax and enjoy your evening
This is the most important thing! The Wedding Planning party is designed to take the stress out of your wedding planning. There is no need for awkward sales conversations, just enjoy your evening out, be inspired, and contact the suppliers that you think would work well at your big day.
