January Top 5 – Inspired by Nature

January wedding ideas

Each month I review my top 5 favourite local wedding ideas and tips and January reminded us to start this year on the right foot… outdoors. Be inspired by the nature around you for your venue styling, centerpieces, wedding photos and even hairstyling as you bring the fresh air back into your wedding planning.  Each tip is handpicked from our Instagram page to inspire your wedding day.

If you see something you love, let me know in the comments below.

1. Hanging Flowers

We LOVE this floral trend in 2018 as a great way to bring the outdoors into your wedding venue. As Urban industrial weddings are also on the rise, so are their ceilings! You can soften the beams and concrete with these beautiful boughs of nature, bringing the eye lower in specific focal areas. Local talent and florist Kerry from Foxgloves and Alice has written an inspiring blog on how to get the most from your florist, with great ideas like this one.

2. Floral Hair Comb

Wearing fresh flowers in your hair is still a huge trend for weddings in 2018. But this stunning floral hair comb from The Flower Mill in Bedfordshire, absolutely makes the perfect statement as a hairpiece. So pretty!

3. Field Photos

This breathtaking photo from Kevin Lines Photography captures this couples love perfectly. Being surrounded with natural elements like this field’s foliage provide the perfect foreground and backdrop for that perfect soft romantic image. Make sure to check out the beautiful Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire country side when arranging your photo locations for the day.

This gorgeous flower tipi from SA Floristry based locally in Bedfordshire is a beautiful way bring nature’s elements into your venue.  Our local talent Sophie designed this piece for our Wedding Planning Party and it looked stunning as guests came through the doors.  What a great unique way to display your flowers at your ceremony and reception!

5. Beautiful Blooms

Theres something breathtaking about this classic, romantic floral centrepiece from Grace and Violet based locally in Hertfordshire. The beautiful blush tones look gorgeous together and will give your day the elegance that can only come from large flouncy blooms.

January really helps us remember to get outside and appreciate the beautiful creation around us as we wedding plan, instead of getting bogged down scrolling all day. Hopefully you feel inspired to start this year on the right foot, creating balance and being present with the one you love.
