James Bond meets Grace Kelly in Buntingford

Today, Amy from Amy Murphy Photography joins us to share this stunning styled shoot from a beautiful Buntingford barn. This shoot is timeless, bold and classic and provides incredible inspiration for all-year-round wedding planning.

The inspiration for this styled shoot came following my first time as a planner, organiser and photographer on a styled shoot. The palette was delicate and mild, gentle with a touch of boho, countryside. Though beautiful, I knew that when I organised my second styled shoot, I wanted it to be bold and vibrant and classical. I wanted “James Bond” style tuxedos and “Grace Kelly” ball gowns, no-frills or delicacies – a shoot with a punch. And this was definitely achieved.

Shoot coordinator: Amy Murphy
Venue: The Barn at Alswick, Hare St Road, Buntingford, Herts
Photographer: Amy Murphy Photography
Theme/colour scheme: James Bond meets Grace Kelly
The shoot in five words: Timeless, bold, classical, romantic, vibrant

My Bride and Groom models, Emily and Muzzy are a real-life couple and were exceptional. Based in Leeds, but happy to make the 300m + trip to the Hertfordshire countryside, they epitomised everything I wanted my “James Bond” and “Grace Kelly” models to be. Their authentic love for one another came through in every image, and their experience as models made it so easy to work with them, with little to no direction from me. They understood and embraced my vision from the outset and delivered it in every possible way.

My suppliers were a combination of people I had the pleasure of working with before, either on an earlier styled shoot or real weddings, as well as people I had never worked with before. Collectively the group of suppliers covered every angle needed in a real wedding. Their commitment to this styled shoot was no less than if it had been a real wedding and it shows!

From the flowers to the 4-part floating wedding cake, the amazing dresses, the stunning jewellery, the tux, the makeup, the hairdos, the celebrant and master of ceremonies, the stationery and styling to the car, the venue with its long winding driveway and the sparkler infused sunset – everything about this shoot was perfect and beautiful and bold. I am so grateful for everyone’s contribution and support.

As a photographer, this shoot gave me the opportunity to capture the images of my dreams, and I was not disappointed.
This shoot aimed to highlight the excellence and quality of outstanding suppliers in the Home Counties and a little further afield – and, of course, to provide fresh images and content for our collective social media and websites.
With every styled shoot I plan and organise, I am getting a little braver and a little bolder in the look and feel of the design, the setup and the images … I cannot wait for the next one!
