TELL US ABOUT YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS?

I design and produce beautiful handmade wedding shoes that brides will want to treasure long after the wedding day. I have a ready to wear collection and also offer a bespoke or custom service enabling brides to work with me to create their dream wedding shoes. When you choose a pair of Diane Hassall wedding shoes you are investing in quality, comfort and fresh modern styling. My shoes are handcrafted in beautifully soft suedes and fabrics with butter soft linings for superb comfort, so that’s one thing brides won’t have to worry about on their wedding day!
I originally trained in fashion and textile design and am known for my love of embellishment, from delicate embroidery and fashion forward glossy pearls to fabulous handmade florals and feather fringing, my shoes are all about the detail!
As well as traditional ivory I love to work with contemporary nude and blush tones and rose gold accents, so as well as being stunning wedding shoes they’re very wearable after the big day too! I also offer a range of ‘Something Blue’ shoes for brides who like to carry the tradition through in a more contemporary way
I am based in the Cotswolds where I take appointments or can work with brides remotely via email, Zoom etc so distance is not a problem at all. With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of the world of bridal shoes, I like to offer a very personal service working with brides to find the ideal height, shape and style to create the perfect pair of wedding shoes, that will make them look gorgeous and feel amazing on their wedding day.

WHY DID YOU START YOUR WEDDING BUSINESS?

I have been a wedding shoe designer for over 30 years now, I started with my own business and then became head of design for the UK’s biggest wedding shoe manufacturer, but after becoming disillusioned with the world of manufacturing and the lack of creativity I decided to go it alone again and finally launched my own collection again in 2017.

WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING IN WEDDINGS?

Every wedding is different and every bride has a different take on the perfect wedding, which makes it a fascinating world to work in. It’s also such a happy joyous industry and I feel it’s such a privilege to play a small part in someone’s big day

WHAT KIND OF COUPLE DO YOU LOVE TO WORK WITH?

I don’t usually have any dealings with grooms, it’s certainly very rare, but my ideal bride is a shoe lover or a lover of all things beautiful, she will appreciate quality and usually has a strong sense of style and design.

WHAT QUESTION DO YOU GET ASKED ALL THE TIME BY COUPLES AND WHAT’S THE ANSWER TO IT?

Q. What if I order a custom pair and the shoes don’t fit me?
A. When I receive your confirmed order I usually send out a sample pair to check sizing if you are UK based. If you are overseas I will ask a series of questions that will help establish the correct size for you before I go ahead with making anything, so please don’t be concerned, I work with brides from all over the UK and overseas and rarely meet them but the service works really well and of course, you are welcome to make an appointment in the Cotswolds if that works for you

WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER ONE PIECE OF WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE?

Be your own person, choose the shoes that you love and make your heart sing, trust your gut instinct and don’t be swayed by those around you, it’s your wedding!

DO YOU HAVE A DREAM WEDDING VENUE, LOCATION OR WEDDING THEME THAT YOU WOULD LOVE TO WORK AT?

Not a specific venue or location – my brides tend to be very varied but would love to do more luxe weddings!
