TELL US ABOUT YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS?
We are Helen & Noel, the husband and wife behind H N Photography. Passionate about weddings and photography, self confessed fantasy and nature geeks. A typical weekend when not photographing weddings and events will find us out and about in the countryside with our cameras chasing those often elusive animals we share this amazing planet with, or curled up at home on the sofa watching films and tv series….anything remotely fantasy and we have probably watched it at least once. I am definitely a Harry Potter, Twilight and Lord of the Rings kind of girl, and Noel loves things a little darker, especially horror films that can make him jump….trust me it doesn’t happen often, unlike me who jumps at anything. We are definitely not your traditional couple and one little known fact for you……Noel actually helped design my wedding dress and was at every dress fitting.
WHY DID YOU START YOUR WEDDING BUSINESS?
After photographing a friends wedding we realised how much we loved it, and how we could offer a unique service to each of our couples with a commitment to them above and beyond a standard wedding photographer.

WHY SHOULD SOMEONE BOOK YOU FOR THEIR WEDDING DAY?
As a husband and wife team, you get both perspectives and opinions. We see the world differently from each other and so do you. Two heads are better than one, so when you have four (yourselves and the two of us) think how many ideas we can collectively come up with to make your day about you, a day you have always dreamed of.
WHAT QUESTION DO YOU GET ASKED ALL THE TIME BY COUPLES AND WHAT’S THE ANSWER TO IT?
I hate having my photo taken, how can I get great photos on my wedding day? We work with you to come up with ideas for your photography which you are comfortable with, whether that be staying in the background and using zoom lenses, or being more like your friends. Every couple is different, so every wedding is different and requires an approach tailored uniquely to them.
WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER ONE PIECE OF WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE?
It’s your wedding, so have it your way. Don’t try and please everyone or you will lose sight of the day you always dreamed of and not enjoy it.
