Today Miss Carlysle and Co brings us a romantic and elegant styled shoot at Sissons Barn, Peterborough. Nikki’s Moments beautifully captured the light and airy space, reflecting a fairy tale of soft tones. The perfect love story. 

The Inspiration

We decided on a simple, elegant styled shoot which went from a mood board to creation, thanks to the talented suppliers involved. Using a simple grey and white colour theme, from the stationery to the flowers. The result is traditional but with our very own twist, to inspire the modern couple. 

It was a true love story for the modern couple Chelsea and Kristian, with romance in the air, full of laughter and love. From the ceremony through to the wedding breakfast. 

The Bride

Chelsea had two bridal dresses from The White Wardrobe, each elegant and timeless in their silheuette. The aim was to show that less can be more on your wedding day.

Chelsea’s hair and make-up was soft, and had a healthy shine, using Hollywood waves and pearl, bespoke, handmade hair accessories to add the glam finish. The make-up application and finish was stunning and full glam, using nude pink tones on her cheeks. 

The Flowers

For the flowers, we opted for white blooms and greenery as they really complimented each other and added to the feel of the barn, we had a beautiful ceiling installation on the chandelier which was above the table setting. Using a fresh palette through creams and white floral features, adding texture and depth with a luxurious feel. 

Chelsea’s bouquet was beautiful and really came together with the silks from Silk and Purl, as well as a buttonhole which completed Kristian’s overall look. 

The Styling

We had 2 semi naked columns set up for the ceremony, alongside 8 chairs set up by The Waterfall Event Décor Company.

Kate from Katewrenflowers / Wrenprophire worked hard with her assistant to bring the table arrangement to life. A velvet cloth draped through the middle of the table, finished with floating candles and flower arrangement centrepieces. Kate used candles, silver glass plate chargers with the white dinner plates and grey/ silver goblets to mirror the colour theme throughout the table styling.

The Cake

The cake was by Kelly’s Kitchen and had a gold metallic shade with an ivory marble effect, flecked with edible rose gold leaf to add a subtle sparkle. The elongated middle tier added height, which allowed for an elegant ribbon, which draped delicately off the edge. Topped with an open sugar peony complementing the overall décor and theme.

The Stationery

Clare Gray Designs provided the stationery, using a stunning grey and monochrome collection, with a simple mono line text on the front. The stationery was designed on thick textured card providing a luxurious finish. The elegant grey and white created eye-catching stationery items, through from invitations to the welcome sign.
