Cambridgeshire Wedding Planner Miss Carlysle & Co has had a busy year putting together styled shoots to give your inspiration for your wedding day! Today she shares a stunning dusty rose and green colour palette shoot at the wonderful Long Furlong Farm.

The Inspiration
Long Furlong Farm is a truly beautiful blank canvas venue based in the Northamptonshire countryside, providing the perfect venue for Alina from Saras Events Flowers and Beth from Miss Carlysle and Co to join forces again with this stunning styled shoot. Together they styled this dusty rose and green colour palette, drawing on the palette inspiration throughout.

The Venue
Whilst the barn at Long Furlong Farm offers a blank canvas for your wedding day, the outside provides the most perfect backdrops for your wedding photos. Alongside the long walkway to the ceremony area, Long Furlong Farm has an additional outdoor area that would give your friends and family somewhere to relax throughout your day.

The Brides
The wonderful suppliers involved combined forces to create two distinctive yet individual looks, both of which work beautifully for this shoot. The bridal dresses were provided by Ivory and Lace, each creating an entirely different look for the brides, whilst also complimenting each other.

The Makeup
The talented hair and makeup artist’s had to think outside the box to mintain social distancing. In fact, makeup artist Yvonne Aucott stated “During lockdown I had to overhaul my whole kit and think about the opportunity for cross-contamination in response to Covid-19. I had put in place a whole new system for makeup applications, when just 4 days before the shoot Boris did a complete turnaround and postponed all face to face services for another 2 weeks! Instead of letting it get in the way of the shoot, it was agreed that I would perform the application in a socially distant manner and direct the model on how to apply her own makeup using my products and techniques. So this was the first time I’d be using my kit and set up with my new procedures since before the pandemic. I was very lucky that Zoe was extremely competent in applying her own makeup as from behind my mask, visor and apron, and advising Zoe from a 2 metre distance, it wasn’t the easiest job! I could barely see, surprisingly couldn’t hear very much, and I realised that a lot of my artistic processes are based on emotion and intuition rather than paint by numbers technique. With the theme of the shoot being dusty pink, I had purchased a beautiful glitter by NYX that looked absolutely stunning on the model, and I used that as the basis of the look. Teamed with pink cheeks from Becca and a light pink lip, the look had a light and romantic look that suited perfectly. The foundation was a mixture of Charlotte Tilbury and Illamasqua Skin Base to give a flawless finish to the whole look.”

The Styling
The table styling was brought together by Alina and Beth, focusing on the pinks and greens of the shoot. Delicate rims, candles and florals worked perfectly on the table, alongside prop hire from Wren Prop Hire and Nikkita Palmer Designs.

The Stationery
Beth from Miss Carlysle and Co loves working with flat lay’s an made sure to set up some stunning flays with this shoot, incorporating the stationery. Silky ribbons, beautiful blooming florals and other accessories worked wonderfully together. Tiggity boo stated ‘I love colour and adore working with florals so designing the stationery for this was a dream. Dusky pink dahlias set against rich ivory was perfect for the rural setting of the shoot and matched beautifully with the floral designs by Sara’s Flowers and Events’.The Entertainment
Keshell from Liquid Mobile Bar worked her bar magic, by creating some cocktails and flavoured prosecco, (always tastes amazing!!) which can add the wow factor to your wedding with welcome drinks, drinks throughout the day and right through to the evening.Photo Credits: Victoria Mitchell Photography
