The Venue
East Mersea Island is a wild natural beach in Colchester, which provides a beautiful location for an elopement shoot. As a more rural area, East Mesea Island is both stunning, and completely intimate. The perfect setting for a small elopement.

The Flowers
Beth and Sara from Queen and Eden worked closely together to create their vision of a beautiful, wild and elegant wedding shoot. Sara stated “The colour palette for the florals was so dreamy, they complimented the surroundings perfectly. The pinks were made from beautiful soft Rose Charmant and Rose Bellini, I then used Nigella Da power blue for pale blue touches reflecting the sea and sky. Topped with a couple of Rose Buttercup’s, which looked stunning against the rusty colours of the rocks.”
The Bride
Our hair stylist and virtual makeup artist Rue from Shades of Beauty Essex said “I had a wonderful time styling our gorgeous model. The look we created had a Disney’s Little Mermaid inspiration to suit the location of the shoot. I was really pleased with the final look wich beautiful reflected the beach”.

The dress itself was utterly romantic and ethereal in style, which was perfect for not only the location, but the elegant nature theme. As one of Lisa Lyons’ Made to Measure designs the bridal dress is completely bespoke. A stunning Ivory sequined lace layered dress, the bride is accented with nude tones and soft glitter tulle.
Aureus Flos is a fine art wedding accessories brand with a selection of handcrafted and uniquely designed headpieces and jewellery. These stand opposed to the repeatable and ‘disposable’ nature of alot of accessories in today’s world. During the photoshoot we used one of the most popular and versatile accessories – The Orla Headband! Inspired by golden ears of grain and romantic meadows, The Orla Headband perfectly blends with today’s bridal trends, this beautiful headpiece is true labour of love. Hand made of thousands of tiny seed beads in three shades of gold, with a touch of sparkle from crystal clear rhinestones, this headband is a true queen of Botanica Collection. With the whole headband being fully made from handwired small twigs, creating a nature inspired, golden leaf crown. If you are looking for a truly unique hair piece to wear on your wedding day, she will be your perfect choice.

The cake
To keep in with the beach theme Hayley from the Dunstable Cake House. created a cake with edible sails in pink and blue pastels. The edges were hand-painted with metallic silver paint and then dressed with edible pearls. The entire cake was sprayed with a pearl shimmer and fit the style for the beach shoot perfectly. The Stationery
For the small amount of guests that may be invited to an elopement, Koko Lily Designs created the most stunning stationery that were perfect for the beach theme, both in style and colour!
