Some of our talented local wedding suppliers have worked hard to create a styled shoot for all our local brides. Styled shoots are a great way for you to see the work of your local suppliers, feature new trending styles in the wedding industry, and to inspire you for your own wedding day. Photographer Emma Webster from Purple Rose Photography has compiled her latest shoot to share with you all. She’s gathered some great suppliers to show off their work. I hope you feel inspired!
VENUE – THE CRUCK BARN
The Cruck Barn is a beautiful venue hidden away inside Milton Keynes. It is a venue I walk past most days when walking my dog and I have always thought it will make a lovely setting for a wedding. It is surrounded by grassland, paddocks and a winding stream. The perfect location for a wedding.
STYLE- ROMANTIC & RUSTIC
The inspiration for the shoot was pale blue’s and purples, with a romantic, rustic feel. The venue dressers MK (Fantasy Balloons) set the scene. They turned a bare empty barn into a beautiful wedding reception. Tables set with sparkling table cloths, a start lit back drop, lime washed chairs and cherry blossom trees to frame the top table. The speed and efficiency with which they set up the room was impressive.

MAKEUP- NATURAL WITH BOLD LASHES
Sam of Makeup by Sam & Hair styling stunned us all with the beautiful make-up looks she created. Brides often want a very natural look, so as not to look to done up on their wedding day. Sam created a beautiful look, strong enough to be seen in photos but not overpowering in person. We were all in awe of the models eyelashes.

FLORALS- NATURAL & LUXURIOUS
Blooms of Baldock were really excited about the whole idea from the moment I approached them. Full of different ideas and arrangements it was lovely to see her imagination run wild. The flower arrangements really made use of the space and freedom available. With the current trend for lots of greenery Blooms of Baldock took the opportunity to show how beautiful a simple bouquet of flowers can be.

CAKE- STATEMENT CENTREPIECES
Oh my Cakery took the opportunity to show how you can make your cake a real feature. Their display truly made the cake the centre of attention. The addition of a dessert and donut wall to frame it created something to draw interest at any wedding.

STATIONERY- BESPOKE & ELEGANT
Made by Rae created the stationery for the day. She visualised the concept for the shoot perfectly and created stationary to compliment it.

DETAILS- EMBROIDERED NAPKINS
Extra Special Touch know that weddings are all about details and their personalised napkins really added a lovely finishing touch to the top table. She also created a handkerchief for the bride, groom and flower girl. I loved the idea of the flower girls handkerchief having a message, making it a perfect keepsake.

TABLEWARE- SPARKLING AND CLASSY
We actually struggled to find tableware for the shoot and C.M. Caterers too were recommended. They were instantly interested and keen to get involved. The tableware really helped tie the shoot together.

BRIDAL GOWNS- UNIQUE & STUNNING
Roses Bridal supplied all the bridal wear for the shoot, every dress you see is part of their supply. When we went in for fittings they were so friendly and welcoming, you just know a bride would feel relaxed. They even pulled apart their window display as it had the perfect dress for one of our models. We took the opportunity to use two very unique dresses. The dress with sleeves was particularly stunning, you need to see it in person to really appreciate it. The second look was actually a two piece, with a stunning belt added to finish it off but you really would never know.

PHOTOGRAPHY- CREATIVE & DETAILED
As the photographer of Purple Rose Photography and organiser of the shoot I enjoyed being creative and experimenting more with my shooting than I would normally have time for. It was nice to talk to other suppliers and hear their ideas and the kind of photos they dream about seeing of their products. The whole shoot came together so well and having not met most of the suppliers before we all got on well with each other and pitched in helping each other get ready.
