A Timeless Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

This timeless vintage Alice in Wonderland inspired wedding within a Hampshire country garden captures the beauty of an English countryside and the whimsy of a fun theme. Charlotte of Charlotte Suzanne Weddings joined us today to share some shoot snippets!

The Inspiration

Our vision was to design a timeless vintage Alice in Wonderland inspired wedding within a Hampshire country garden. West Green House Gardens was a truly special space that emulated the quintessential English country garden. This time we had a vintage inspiration utilising the colours found in the garden, the original book, and 1951 Disney film.

The Details

Sat in the heart of Hampshire, West Green House Gardens was the perfect venue for this styled shoot, providing the most beautiful backdrop for a wedding!

We had a vintage inspiration reflecting the colours found in the garden, along with the red from the playing cards from the original book and 1951 Disney film. The vintage crockery created a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party for the reception. We styled the shoot using small elements throughout to demonstrate the theme but not dominate the shoot (such as using quotes in the stationery, a celebrant-led tea ceremony and roses in the bushes and hanging crockery).

The Dress

Our model Aleesha wore a tea length dress with a cinched waist and a large bow added to the back as a nod to Alice’s original dress. A shorter dress meant a statement pair of dark green shoes that matched the other darker green elements used in the shoot.
