Picking your bridal party is usually the first thing you will do when you start plannig your wedding. They are the group of ladies (or men) that will help you with your wedding tasks, take responsibility out of your hands on your wedding day, and plan an amazing hen party! With that in mind, we have 5 top tips to help you pick the perfect bridal squad, and some wonderful gifts you could give them.
budget planning
Before you start asking people to be apart of your bridal party, ensure you and your partner discuss how large your wedding party will be, as ithe cost of outfits can soon build up. Another thing to consider is the venue, perhaps it is a small venue that really works better with a smaller wedding party, or vice versa!
siblings
Your first step is usually to look to your family if you are close to your siblings they are often your first choice. Of course, if they are significantly younger you may prefer to give them a different role on your wedding day, such as a flower girl/page boy.
Friends
Your closest friends will immediately jump to mind when picturing your wedding party. These don’t neccessarily need to be your oldest friends, but the people you really couldn’t imagine celebrating your wedding day without.
Reliability
Your bridal party choices need to be reliable in both the lead up to and on your wedding day. You will likely be giving them tasks to help with during your wedding planning, as well as attending dress fittings. The ideal wedding party will allow you to deligate your wedding day tasks safe in the knowledge that your bridesmaids have got your back.
Feelings
When you have your bridesmaid list, take a moment to step back and picture whether they will all get along. This group of your closest friends and family will be spending alot of time together, as well as potentially planning your hen party. If there is someone that is unlikely to click with everyone else, it might be a good idea to look for a different role for that person.
