You may be thinking that it’s unlikely there are any trends showing in 2021 weddings, but you would be wrong. We asked our wonderful suppliers what trends they are seeing in upcoming weddings, alongside the trends we saw at the beginning of 2020.
Statement Flowers
One thing we have seen being used a lot are statement flowers, making beautiful displays on your wedding day, or one of a kind statement bouquets. Not only are they impressive on the day, but they make stunning backdrops to your photos!

Entertainment
With there being a need to have smaller weddings, couples are choosing to go all out on their wedding entertainment. By sourcing some high-quality entertainment you can ensure your guests are entertained throughout the day.

Sustainable Weddings
People are caring more and more about the footprint their wedding plans leave, especially with a move to smaller weddings. If you are considering making more ethical choices, check out our posts here for some great ideas.

Unique food ideas
People are choosing less traditional food options with their weddings in 2021 and beyond. From grazing tables and food carts to cupcakes and doughnuts, the more informal the better!
Beth from Miss Miss Carlysle and Co noticed: “Couples are starting to reconsider their guest lists, meaning that they need to consider aspects such as how to minimise the cake to decrease any waste. This is where the single tiered cake / tea party with cupcakes comes in, the cupcakes are already in portions and having a single tiered cake means that there won’t be any waste.”

WEDDING PLANNER AND EVENT COORDINATOR BETH FROM MISS CARLYSLE AND CO JOINS US TO SHARE THE TOP TRENDS SHE IS SEEING IN 2021.
2021 is going to be a year filled with wedding celebrations all around the world, from couples who have postponed through to newly engaged couples.
Weddings are going to be filled with happiness and love, with more weddings happening than ever before.
Light Colour Palettes
From pastel light pinks and blues to a more dusty palette of rose and green, weddings will be taking inspiration from more muted colour palettes to create an elegant wedding day.

Festive Palette
Alternatively to the light colour palette, some couples are looking towards creating a festival vibe with rustic orange, burgundy and yellow, drawing inspiration from autumnal nature in England.

Styling
Table styling is becoming more of a statement at weddings now, as couples choose to work with a stylist. This allows them to be more creative and bring more statement tables to life. Adding different coloured glasses and cutlery, as well as having chargers add a more formal, yet relaxed feel to the table.

By having fewer guests at your wedding you can play around with different chairs for your ceremony set up. This gives your wedding that personal feel and allows you to stand out from the crowd.

Lounge areas
This is a beautiful statement for your evening reception, providing a lounge area for those of your guests that prefer to socialise over parting. Setting up a lounge area will allow your guests to chat and relax, whilst giving a stunning photo area too!

Handmade Stationery
With fewer guests being invited to weddings, love letters rather than full sets of stationery are taking centre stage. By limiting your stationery requirements, you are helping cut back on waste (being more eco-friendly) while being more simplistic and minimalistic with your wedding day.

The Bride
Wedding dresses are usually one of the big statement’s of your wedding day, however, 2021 will see a more relaxed, effortless style of dress.

As more laid back weddings can release some of your wedding budgets, a lot of brides are choosing to spend money on the important little details such as hair accessories, earrings, necklaces and more!
