Taking inspiration from the catwalks and what our brides are ordering,this is what La Belle thinks will be big in 2018.

1. Marble Wedding Cakes

Marble Wedding Cakes have been popping up again and again and are one of the most beautiful wedding cake ideas for 2018. 

2. Hand Painted Wedding Cakes

Handpainted cakes are perfect for a boho inspired wedding and perfect for couples wanting to incorporate a truly personal touch.

3. Textured, white on white cakes

From ruffles to hand piped lace textured wedding cakes are both classic and contemporary. A textured wedding cake is a work of art all on its own.

4. Semi Naked Wedding Cakes

Moving on from the HUGE trend of  naked cakes, 2018 sees a rise of the semi naked cake – a naked cake with a thin layer of butter icing so the delicious cake peers through. 

5. Metallic Wedding Cakes

We are still seeing lots of metallic accents coming through. Lots of silver, gold and rose gold and I love this as it can be incorporated across so many wedding themes including vintage and urban, even rustic. A splattering of gold leaf over a semi naked cake looks amazing.
